SE all the way. Don't get me wrong I like the S2 and I have owned a vela and currently own 4 cores but for the money I just prefer the SE's over the S2's. That being said for same kind of money you can get some get bargains in the used core models (3 of my cores cost less than $1000)

Wow, great job. They all look great. I assume that you are doing all the mods and upgrades yourself? I like your EMG move too. The 81 is ceramic and bright and the 85 is alnico, big fat and warm. Cool.

That Werewolf Singlecut is pretty awesome. They all are, actually. Cool collection.

2007-2013 Core Mira's still regularly go for under a grand. IMHO, they are the best deal on a Core guitar going.

What Lister said. I voted S2 of the choices given, but my 2010 Mira is an absolute beast of a guitar. These are drastically underpriced IMO.

My 2 pesos...at $1000, for the S2 line that's gonna nab you a standard, and for the SE line it'll nab a 35th Ani or Paul's Guitar for the full grand. All of them are great guitars, but he PG or the 35th are more versatile and, depending on what you like aesthetically, probably better looking. You also get the coil split switch circuit on the SE axes. I own both SE models, and played a few S2 standards, and from what I've felt the build quality is virtually identical. So, my vote is SE line.

i’d probably buy a bunch of sandwiches.

Yeah, but after lunch, you've got to buy a guitar, so... ?

S2 for the neck and frets alone.

Ultimately, this is the right answer for me. If I found an SE that blew me away, I'd buy it of course. But I'd be looking at S2's first, for these two reasons.

Most definitely S2. Although I have some killer SE’s, the S2 Standards ring like a bell.

Another detail that would make the extra money easy to spend.

For $1k, you can get a used S2 and have extra for mods, like I did.

The guitar was fine stock, but I just had to because I'm a mod nut.

I'm not a fan of satin. This color and guitar is an exception. I really like the ones like this.

I looked up the definition if I used the right word. English is not my first language. But, yes! I am honored to have your appreciation! Thank you!
LOL, yes, you got it right, but the use of that word... I thought you were joking with me. My bad. I definitely like that satin black. And don't worry, I've lived here for many years and still don't know what all those fancy words mean. :)
