Hello
My name is Alexis, I am 52 years old and play guitar since I am 6, so quite a moment. I am originally from Switzerland but living in southern France for 10 years now.
My first ''real'' guitar was a 1976 Bi-Centennial Firebird which I got from my parents in 1978 for having achieved my scholar diploma. I started collecting guitars during the eighties and early ninetees with about every cent I was able to economise as teen and in 1994 a dream became true when I was able to purchase my beautiful PRS Custom 24 10-Top at a reduced price due to a tiny bad spot in the finish. One year later I lost most of my collection due to a fire, and the remaining two i sold in the net couple of years because I rarely got them out of the cases since I owned the PRS.
I used a Peavey Roadmaster 160W all-tube amp head since 1982 with a 1970 Laney Supergroup Lead 4x12 cab, equipped with Goodman Speakers. Lucky as I am the amp head had been stolen 2014 and I replaced it with a Bugera 333 XL Infinium head, as the Peaveys are almost impossible to find (and I admit 160W tube power without master volume is quite monstrous). I am very satisfied with the Bugera, especially for the little investment it took - really worth every cent. I don't use many effects, a Mesa Boogie V-Twin (slightly modified) gives me 12 base sounds with the 3-channel amp, a vintage Cry Baby and Heil Talkbox, and an alos vintage Alesis Midiverb II.
Happy to be amongst you!
