So far thick socks, shoes, and a sweater are working. Along with lots of hot coffee.
Hands are cold but I need to type.
Furnace guy ran off to get a replacement gas valve.
Hoping it's that simple.

I don’t really get high during the day. I mean, I used to a long time ago but.... it’s one of those things where once you start doing it, it’s hard to stop.

Shopping update: I ran to the store to pick up a couple of things this morning. Wasn't surprised to see that they had no eggs, and no Lysol, and no Rubbing Alcohol or hydrogen peroxide. I was pleasantly surprised to see a couple of pallets of TP and paper towel.They don't even bother to put them on the shelves. Just drop the pallet and get out of the way. I didn't need any of either, so I didn't grab any.
Here's where I was surprised: no mixers!!! No tonic water, soda water, ginger-ale, etc. Nothing, nada, zip!!!!!! It's one of those big box, sell everything stores that is usually open 24 hours. They typically have 100s of bottles of that kind of stuff. Guess booze is the way to ride it out!

I had installed a smart thermostat a couple of years ago, and that died too!
Guy said the smart thermostat probably killed the gas valve. Yeesh.
Glad I hadn't thrown the old thermostat away!
