What do y'all do for a living?

Hopefully not while on the phone with JFB....

The first five minutes are free.

Here's how old/past it I am: I have no idea what an engagement manager does. I'm absolutely clueless.

I manage client relationships, facilitate and ensure our processes are being adhered to, and monitor service delivery of the team.

Imagine accidentally confusing those two jobs!

I've been known to talk sexy at work. :p

Well, I don't like to brag, but clearly I have the best job of anyone here! :p

Mechanical engineer by education, working as a systems/requirements engineer in medical device R&D projects. Basically, a lot of documentation and processes, ensuring the project documentation is clear, thorough, streamlined and in compliance with regulatory requirements. A lot of paper pushing, but I like it - it appeals to my autistic side :)

Thanks! Modern corporate-speak eludes me. Because, well you met me, I'm old.

So basically, you're the guy the clients deal with, and you stay on your team's butts to make sure they do the job correctly?

I'm an electronics tech and IT specialist by education, experience, and trade but have found myself working as a Project Foreman/Superintendent/Manager (thanks Business degree!!) as of late in just about every aspect of "Life Safety" (structured cabling, access control, CCTV, healthcare, fire alarm and more....oh joy!). Basically I manage a team of installers and give them direction while I make phone calls to engineering to clarify blatant issues, calls to sales to create change orders, calls to people who never answer my call or return one, and draw out the As Builts as we roll along on a job. According to my guys I do nothing all day other than shout directions and then sit in my truck (or find places to hide and play on my phone).

I have thought about the phone sex trade. The problem is that I don't dress sexy enough......I wear khakis and a polo to work. So maybe phone support at State Farm would be a better match for me?

I'm a domiciliary carer in the community looking after old people in there homes...
Also a Daydreamer with dementia in my spare time...

I'd go on a long walkabout, like an aborigine in the outback, speak with your soul & the spirit, come home, strum a few on your PRSi.............

........and consider a career change.

(*Don't get me wrong, it ain't easy, it's a challenge I haven't even conquered myself)

Huggy B,
I'm 68 and have been with my job for 23 years now. I'm going nowhere, man. ;) (I hear a song in this last statement.)
