What are you hoarding?

All the NOS tubes that Les hasn't given me yet.
Hah!

I have a few spare NOS tubes. But I’m not a hoarder, honest! I plan to use them.

However a friend sent three clearly used Blackburn, England Mullard (per date codes) EL34s in DuMont boxes. I don’t know whether they work, I have enough NOS Siemens tubes to last the rest of my days, and these used ones aren’t needed.

Yours if you want ‘em, free. But they should be tested before putting them into an amp, and I don’t have a tube tester. So anyone wanting them installs at their own risk.

He also sent some hi fi tubes I’ll never need, for whoever can use them. They aren’t guitar amp tubes as far as I know. PM for details.

I'm starting to focus on amps, because I only have a few amps. Thinking about trading in a Chinese Squier Mustang for an American Ultra Mustang soon

I used to be heavily into Fender amps, but most are all gone except a few .

Now I’m mainly into my Mark IIC+ combos and Mark IIC head

I always have friends at church asking me if I'll give them pedals, they don't seem to understand that I actually use or plan to use all of my gear at some point. Nothing is wasted :p

That's amazing! For me, all mine are going to be by different brands. So far I have Marshall, Fender, Vox, Line 6, Positive Grid and Esteban amps. Idk why but I just can't be brand exclusive

Chopsticks! I save them every time I eat at a restaurant where they are used. I save the ones from others at the table as well!! I have found so many uses for the over the years. Plug holes in walls, wood, etc. Use as stakes to hold down tarps, cardboard, etc. in garden/chicken pen areas (not permanent but when working on stuff). Used them to fill in gaps, along with caulk, in the edges where wall meets ceiling in the house I am currently living in (yes, the construction of this house has a lot to be desired). Did that 15 years ago and it reduced the number of bug getting into the house by 99%. Stir sticks for small cans of paint or other liquids/gels that need stirring. Mixing of epoxies. Poking people in the eye when I don't want to use a sharp stick. Slight tip of camera when it is sitting on a flat surface. Many other things I have used them for over the years that I am not remembering, but you get the idea! The chopstick, one of my many hoarded items ;~))

Reminds me of this...

A woman walks into a bank with a suitcase and asks to see the manager. He escorts her into his office, and she says, "I've kept this money for years at home, and I've decided that it's safer in a bank, so I'd like to open an account." The manager asks her to open the suitcase so he can see what she's talking about, and it's full of cash. He says, "Wow - did you horde this money yourself?" The woman says, "No, my sister whored half of it."

Haha, in a word…yes

I’m in my 40’s and most of the interest does come from female friends, lol.

I also have a nice stash of ingestible commodities I stock up on whenever I visit “progressive” states. Also very popular with suburban soccer parent crowd.
Welp........hauling gear is made easier with soccer moms and mini vans!

Score!!!

Pedals, empty concentrate containers, guitar magazines, Sailor Jerry's bottles (for that tat sticker)

Guitars too even though 20 is small compared to some.

Other than that is the junk that can't go because its still usable. We had the power go out when it was cold and I broke out a butane heater that I've hoarded for 25 years. The wife was pissed (and warm) because again, the horde saved us as it has so many times.

Hoard? It used to be video games for a couple decades, and I had a substantial collection... My son and I curated a world-class collection of handheld video game systems over many years that was featured in a multipage article in Retro Gamer, but we sold it all over a couple year period after his first son was born and invested the money in a house for him... Today I have 25+ guitars, but I don't think I hoard them. Godzilla and King Kong figures are my "collectables" now - nothing from the new American movies for Godzilla but the classic Toho stuff. I just packed all of them up for a cross-country move we're making this summer, and there's a few of them - maybe sixty or seventy... But preparing to sell a home you've been in for 30+ years is a great lesson in the amounts of crap one can accrue without meaning to over time. We're throwing out more stuff than we're going to end up moving, I think...

Amps and guitars. I have 2 electrics, 2 acoustics, an amp and a modeler. Seriously, I hoard small stashes of lots of hobbies I visit and revisit. The aforementioned stuff, camera, lenses, a budding coffee gear stash, old motocross gear…. We’ve entered the “Swedish Death Purge” phase of life, so a lot of it is going away. Smaller, higher quality stashes now.
