Band Name or Song Name?

My first high school band was called The Meat Market.

And I played...the organ. Honest to goodness. Or badness.

Yes, I know. Horrible. But...1966. We weren't exactly "lights on".
My first high school band was called Mania. Influenced by the Beatles of course (sorry Sergio).
I was the drummer back then. Loved that but little opportunity for vocals.
Our biggest gig was the University of B.C. Student Union Ballroom.
Scared the crap out of me, but it was fun.

I like hearing the inspiration for the Band Name.

I worked with a couple of guys named Julio and they both tripped in the office on the same day on the same cubicle corner...The Tripping Julios were born!

My first band was called “No Left Turn” because we needed a name on the way to the talent show, and it was better than “Scarsdale 2 miles”
One band I was in was called "noname" (noh-nah-me). For some reason the Bolivian guy in the band loved it and it sounded cool when said with a Spanish accent.

We never did decide on a name...or did we?

Mid 70's we had a garage band called "Crystal Echo". And no, it wasn't a reference to a mind altering basement chemistry project (not that we were angels you understand). My one foray into R&R keyboards, probably a good thing we didn't record any of our gigs or practice sessions, although it would be good for a laugh now. But it was fun at the time and the locals "said" they loved us. o_O
