Anyone ever owned a walnut body/ walnut neck guitar?

I had a walnut bodied Taylor W-14 acoustic for a short time. I liked it in the store, but grew to dislike it as I used it.

That experience would probably put me off buying a walnut electric. There are probably reasons it's not a traditional tone wood.

My favorite 20 year old dread acoustic has walnut back and sides. I try out most every acoustic I see that has walnut because of it. Most of them don’t compare favorably. Not sure if it carries over to electric guitars the same. I would say it has string fundamental note definition. Good deal of midrange, not as bright as maple. More overtones than mahogany but less than rosewood. Again, my acoustic usually wins out in most comps for me. It’s a cannon. Loud and out front.

I was hoping you'd come through with the goods and of course, you knocked it out of the park! Divine examples as usual!! Good to see your presence again ;~))
