Roger Daltrey: Thanks a Lot...

It took a while to get this in my local public library...

What can you say about the lead singer/front man of The Who? He's been there done that, and performed and sung at the largest and most legendary rock gigs. Born in the early '40's, he, like many of our British musical heroes, grew up in an England that was still suffering the effects of World War II. And by the way, it was his band that Townsend joined. And he discusses all the ups and downs of that serious brotherly relationship. It's an easy read, plainly written and with a lot of interesting and profound insights into his life on the road and at home. And how he kept from not completely losing his voice is still a mystery; he doesn't reveal how he managed his vocal cords...A true legend in his own time.

Highly Recommended.

Yep - I’m about 70% through this. Great read.

And I just got the Geddy Lee bass book today. Just waiting on the forklift to move it into the house.

Ordered mine yesterday. Saw an interview with him on CBS Sunday Morning a month, or so, ago. Made me want to order the book.
