I have the stock SC250 speakers in my 2008 SC but only complaint is the bridge pickup which I believe is 15k Ceramic magnet. It struggles on clean with some amps. It would be great to find a pickup that offers the wallop of the SC250 with gain but is really good with clean. Maybe I have to get better at switching to the neck Pickup. Lol.
Maybe my answer is to get used to changing pickuos to maximize the tones I get at jams and gigs. I was never great at it but I never spent time getting it down while stepping on pedals, etc.
My SC250 bridge is so tight and chunky for high gain and leads,. I hate to lose that. The neck pickup makes the guitar almost sound acoustic like, partly because the guitar has such great acoustic qualities.
