Hubba hubba!
Yes, it’s semi hollow. Yeah, it’s my first older style McCarty, so far I’m really enjoying the pickups and push pull coil split. Although I need to do a side to side with 594. I believe pups sound a bit hotter than the 594 pickups, guitar also has incredible sustain. That's such a popping top. So it's semi-hollow or did I mis-read? Looks very exquisite. Absolute beauty, my friend. What're your thoughts on the pickups?
Only SalsaYeah I could get taco sauce on that.
Congratulations.
Thank you very much, and only took approximately 25 years to find the right one, condition/price. I was finally able to pull the trigger on one. It would be awful tempting to get same model with a trem setup. I only assumed they did 100 stoptail,100 tremolo versions, since they were limited to 200 in number.Dang that's tasty! I had one that got away in '97. I have supplemented myself with modded SE's... until today. But this post isn't about me. Hope it keep a smile on your face for a long long time.
Yes, so do I, I love Ebony fretboards. Brazilian rosewood doesn’t suck either lol.I love that beautiful black board and purfling. The purfling really does it for me. Lovely guitar!
They really are little works of art.Seeing the bird fearhers allows me to recognize the birds now. Having just the outline has confused me for years over a couple of them.
Had to come back again to see those etched silver birdies. What a great guitar!Sorry I’ve been MIA. I’ve been the busiest retired guy known to Man. Lol.
I’ll bore you all with the backstory. I’m back in 95 when this guitars came out I drooled for one. 1998 there was a teal one for sale in a store called Toys From The Attic in White Plains NY. I was so close to pulling the trigger but, at the time I really needed another trem PRS for playing out, so I passed on it. For years it haunted me. I’ve always admired the beauty of these guitars, the inlays, ebony board, big leaf maple top, semi-hollow body, and McCarty pups/electronics. From time to time I checked the market, searching for the right one, at the “right price” in very clean condition. I found it. Here is my newly adopted 1995,10th Anniversary McCarty. Absolutely stunning!
BTW…. The Christmas tree is horrendous on this. I will fix that when I change the strings. The store put a fresh set of strings on so I might as well take advantage of using them for a while..
