babe en der wood
but how do you feel about the binding? 'classic' or 'ruins the whole thing', there is no in between.
ConfirmedThat’s equal to a “Bless your heart” when you’re down south or should I say in the southern states?
You NEED one!KILLER!! Congrats man!
Oh and y’all knuckleheads are getting me all hot and bothered with these Santanas. Stop it.
You NEED one!
Wow! Forum members expect a lot from you! “Congrats” is sufficient from a person who doesn’t like shades of blue. There were a couple of people who didn’t care for the refinish I had done on my Westy…. I took no offense, everyone has a right to their opinion. My opinion is blue guitars are beautiful, it’s ok if you have lousy taste.I mean, if people want a “Bangin’!” there are surefire methods to attaining one.
Like, am I supposed to feel guilty when people don’t consider my preferences above their own when purchasing a guitar?
Yeah….. it’s just ridiculous on a wood library.Stunning! You're right about the Dave's Guitar Shop truss rod cover! Gotta go!
KILLER!! Congrats man!

I prefer the binding. Don’t know why it looks good on this model. I’d prefer if it was a maple binding, but it goes well with the pickup rings.but how do you feel about the binding? 'classic' or 'ruins the whole thing', there is no in between.
I mean, everybody thinks they have good taste but only half of them do.Wow! Forum members expect a lot from you! “Congrats” is sufficient from a person who doesn’t like shades of blue. only one thing standing in the way…okay well two.You NEED one!
Or we could all be in the bad taste crowd.so you're saying we're kind of like Half and Half ?
That man is an inspiration.
NiceA delayed new guitar day. I wanted to review it thoroughly a few days before commenting.
Of course, we are all familiar with the Santana model. As I have been thinning out the herd of less preferred (but awesome) guitars, I decided to pull the trigger on a Santana model that’s a bit different than the ones I normally see. Previously I posted a thread, Rosewood vs maple necks and I thank everybody who participated sharing their knowledge and experiences. It helped me make an informed decision between two different Santana guitars… one with a IRW Rosewood neck/BRW fingerboard, or this one with the Maple/Ziricote combo. I am really digging the tonal response from this combination. This guitar is so alive, less dark compared to other Santanas I have played in the past yet different enough from my Westy to justify having it in my arsenal. No offense to Dave’s guitar shop but, I gotta lose that truss rod cover and replace it with a Ziricote one.
BTW. I have to blame forum member Alnus Rubra for this purchase seeing photos of his absolutely stunning yellow Santana in other threads inspired me to once again look into and play this time tested, legendary, Santana model.
I think this shade of blue (Laguna) is stunning. Enjoy the photos.
All this talk about taste made me hungry!!Or we could all be in the bad taste crowd.
The other half need ketchup...I mean, everybody thinks they have good taste but only half of them do.
only one thing standing in the way…okay well two.
1. A white DGT
2. A significant pile of cash
But I’ve secretly always had a thing for those fat bottoms. Shoot me.
