\m/ pickups are here, \m/ pickups are here

The PTC is making some tweaks to my Bud Davis "Metal" CE24.

While it's there...

Seems to me a metal guitar should have \m/ pickups.

But it's also possible that you ARE too old. :)

I would love to know some more details. HFS pickups are 15K with a ceramic magnet. Is this like Spinal Tap, "It goes all the way to 15.7"?
Different wire than the HFS which gives it a fuller tone and clearer cleans
Shawn, have you guys tried one in a baritone? Either the Mushok or the Lowery?

I had a HFS in the bridge position of my baritone, and it was very heavy metal! Swapped out the magnet for Alnico 5 and it was less heavy but still very metal. Too much so for my purposes.

I'm anxious to hear some reports on these, wish I could put my order in but I'm reworking my rig right now.

Shawn, can we expect these to be featured in the Experience 2013 guitar? Please, please, pretty please?

I dream of a PRS metal guitar.....with a PRS high gain amp.........both debuting at Experience......and coming home with me.......

PRS metal guitar at Experience...available to carry out...

In the process of ordering what may be the first in the uk!
I might drop McCarty switching in at the same time.
EXCITED!!!

MAN! I CAN'T SEE YOUTUBE FROM WORK! :bawling:

Can't wait to get home and see it.

It sounds like a freight train carrying puppies crashed into a rainbow and burst into confetti, covering the earth.
