I ordered mine at Guitar Center, and they needed only 30%. Maybe it’s different from dealer to dealer? Or, maybe times have changed since two decades ago?

Depends on the dealer. I have a pre-order maple neck Silver Sky and that dealer wanted 25%. A couple of WL guitars I pre-ordered the dealer wanted 20%.

Missed the thread, although I knew they resumed operations.

Respect to PRS as a business for taking care of their employees during the tough times. I said many times how the company treated me as family the first time I set foot there. Great to hear they operate that way as a business, taking care of their employees that way as well! Guess I shouldn’t be surprised.

The last time I custom ordered a PRS was 19 years ago, a Singlecut. I think I had to put 30% down and then pay the balance when it came in. Is that still how things are done?

I was told by my dealer it's 50% down non-refundable.

My dealer is Cosmo Music in Toronto.
There custom orders are 50% non-refundable, where as special orders are only 20% refundable.

Pretty sure all dealers will their own policy on orders.
