UV will surely fade it,but with nitro can cause some amber to come in. The best way unfortunately is to refinish it . Backsanding removes the "excess" stain then re shoot the clear . Certainly a job for a pro .
I am not sure if they changed the dye for this color over the years. I know that the older Whale Blue used to fade with UV light. I have seen some that faded really fast. I don't know if they are still using the same blue dye that they did back then. It seems like I haven't seen as many faded examples in quite a while.
