I would want any one of those, can't choose. You can't do a diagonal cross fade, that's what I'm doing on my eventual build.

I think the neck should match the body. So Black Limba. Since we are going with a subzero color, I say maple board and stain it subzero. put a heel cap on it stained in subzero and inlay in a black limba bird. Yes, i believe the fret inlay should be black limba and the headstock should be black limba with a maple inlay in subzero.
Flamed maple neck and fretboard. Please don't stain it. That is when guitars start to become clown shows.
