Classic :)

I am new to the forum. Done a couple of private stocks with Brian, so know what a great job he does on his guitars.... Just put a deposit in for a blue fade guitar from this run. A second one should still be available as Brian was nice enough to order the second for the shop.

Thanks Haig! Welcome to the madness...this is going to be a great run. Brian has been really great about helping us make this a reality, I'm sure he will select some incredible tops (as he always does). Still a few left if anyone is interested (including the blue fade and a violet blue-burst)...possibility to pick your own color still available (only one color choice left).

Hello everyone.
For folks that have been here too long (like me) the thought of a forum guitar brings back memories of endless spec revisions and ultimately no guitar...although some of the ideas for this were truly awesome. About a month ago...a thread about the 509 model started a conversation between a few of us about specs we would like for a Wood library 509. Fortunately enough of us agreed, so this run is going to happen! (Thanks to one of our most excellent PRS dealers here...initials BG).
The basic idea was a run of 509s with maple necks and swamp ash bodies...and some cool colors.

The final specs look like this:
Model 509
Neck: Satin Artist figured maple
Fingerboard: Artist figured maple
Top: Artist grade Flame or Quilt Maple...to be selected by dealer based on best tops available.
Body: Swamp Ash (3 piece)
Inlays: Black Corian outline, Sparkle MOP Centers
Hardware: Smoked Black w Nickel mounting screws
Case: Black Paisley Artist

There are still some available...so thought we'd throw it open to the group to see if anyone else wants to join us. There is still the opportunity to possibly pick the color (from core or artist package list) of your choice (definitely if two people want the same color). Let me know if you're interested and I'll PM you the details.
This is too cool. Thanks Brian!!!

Glad you're in on this!

It sounds like we can put a deposit on the guitars.

Yep, just put down mine.

I am so stoked about these! Never been involved in a build like this before, always bought "off-the-shelf" or used (except for the SE SVN w/ ebony board I expect "soonish"), and these look to be a relatively unique set of characteristics!

I've picked Violet Blue Burst Quilt for now, but I would also love some sort of fade, so Brian suggested I research his previous AP and WL builds to see if there was any other colors he has done (non-PS) that appeal to me.

So now I have to go look at photos of awesome past-builds...poor me!
