Plugged In.
So I'm in two bands, and just got invited to join a 3rd: a Rush tribute band. I play bass in a jazz/dance party band and guitar in a classic rock, gravy funk band. It's a wild mix. So when I got asked to join a Rush tribute band, I thought I'd break out the Rickenbacker and fill some Geddy shoes (impossible, I know). But NO. The band leader wants the bass role, so I'm going at the guitar with no holds barred.
I was playing through some Permanent Waves and 2112 tunes on my new Special Semi-hollow and it was sounding righteous. But it was a little dark and perhaps not quite as harmonic as I wanted. So I reluctantly put the new axe in its scabbard and pulled out the 594.
OH MY GOD.
This guitar has so much clarity and command available with the 4 knob and 3-way control, it's insane. INSANE. The pick attack, the playability, the scale length, the ergonomics, the TONE.
It is SO GOOD. SOOOO GOOOOODDDD....
...THAT I THINK I NEED A SANTANA.
BUT SHOW ME YOUR 594 ANYWAY.
