I'll have to give the full report later when I have time (maybe with the post containing better pictures!), but it's no secret I've had a ton of PRS in my day and I have to say they absolutely knocked this one out of the park. Gorgeous top, matched the stain PERFECTLY, neck is smooth as silk, fretboard is dark and straight-grained and most importantly both the P22 mag pickups and the piezo sound incredible on this guitar!!! To think this is "only" a production guitar blows my mind, the thing feels like a full-on custom build but in my unique case I guess that's actually partially true! :)

My sincerest thanks to all the wonderful people at PRS who made this happen, they already had me as a fan for life but it's the smaller things like going out of their way to make sure a customer is taken care of in terrible situations like this that really makes a company shine, and I feel PRS went the extra mile for me here! I'm a HUGE supporter of PRS guitars (duh!) and I hope events such as this help other folks to see how awesome they can be to their customers!

Next step for me? Finalize the specs for the one Private Stock I've been itching to build since it's a bit of a hybrid of some of their models but with features that none of them have currently in stock form! Let the saving begin! :D

Wow. Nice rack.

That's what he said. :D Thanks Andy, definitely putting that stand to good use, eh? Makes it nice and easy to swap guitars back and forth when I'm feeling like playing a bunch back-to-back without having to crack open a half-dozen cases to do so! I'll bring her (still working on a name for this one... hehe) and Pinky over sometime soon, maybe this weekend?

Also I'm not sure if this has that special neck finishing dealio, but I must say it feels almost "polished" and smoother than most IRW necks I've had in recent past! LOVE IT!!!

I can't over-state how appreciative I am towards the good folks at PRS for taking care of me, and not only did the do a bang-up job picking the woods to be used and finding me an in-process neck which sped up things considerably, but the final piece is just absolutely perfect! Plays great, sounds great, looks great... but that was a given since it's a PRS, right? :D

So, umm...is it too early to call dibs on a guitar owned by someone I've never met? Too soon?

What a great ending. Your pictures are so much better...it looks fantastic.
