Introduce yourself!

I finally did it, so here I am.

Signed on the dotted line for a companion for my CE24 this week - ordered a black USA Tremonti with stoptail. Special order so it'll be here next year. Worth it for the OG Tremonti. I even have Creed to credit for meeting my wife 20 years ago. Super excited!

Awesome!
You gotta post up some pics when your Tremonti comes in.

Hey all,
Long time guitar, first PRS (the lefty 2019 SE in my avatar). I still love my other guitars, but am getting to know this one now and I'm reading the forum for more info. About me - I'm a better writer than player, but have a wide range of instruments to support that. So far loving the feel and playability of this guitar.

Welcome, Shoe!
Nothing like a new guitar to inspire you to play.
Post some pics when you get a chance and don’t forget to make an avatar.

Hi guys, I'm a gigging drummer the past 35 years. Always had an acoustic guitar and I'm a decent enough rythym player. Since lockdown, I've acquired a boss katana amp for free. I then picked up a cheap frankenstrat. I then played guitar for hours everyday. I started messing around with bandmates guitars and I decided I needed a guitar with humbuckers, then I wanted a hollowbody. That led me down the rabbit hole to my first PRS. I picked up the SE Hollowbody ii Piezo. Love it. I'd post a picture if I could figure out how to.

Great forum, I'M learning a lot from you guys.

Welcome @BatUtilityBelt ! Great forum name!! I hope you have your shark repellent spray in your belt, you never know when you may need that one! I to am a much better writer than player, but I love my PRS's and will buy more based on the quality of the product and their artwork like beauty. Welcome to the rabbit hole!

Happy pickin'!

Hi everybody!

Just joined after picking up my 4th PRS today. Here’s what I’ve got in the order of acquisition:

2006 CE 22 Solid mahogany with translucent cherry finish

2016 S2 Standard 24 Tobacco Burst with optional birds

2008 Bernie Marsden SE

2006 Charcoal Singlecut Satin Soapbar Core

I’ve got most of the PRS bases covered outside of the big $$$ stuff.

Can anyone provide more details on the Satin Singlecut? There’s not much info out there as it seems like it was short lived.

It’s great to be here and I look forward to meeting fellow musicians.
Replying to myself as I have 2 new additions. I picked up an SE Santana in a dark orange and have a 99 McCarty en route from GC. It was marked down significantly and when I called was told it was a return and has a finish crack and the three way switch needs repairs. I thought I’d take a chance on it as they have a generous return policy if it’s a dud.

New to this forum but not new to PRS Guitars.

Some favorite artists are Beatles, Stones, Bee Gees, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, Santana, Clapton, Frampton Huey Lewis, EW&F (Al McKay rocks!), Kool & The Gang, KC & The Sunshine Band (R&B/Funk guitar fans, please check out the early work of the late Jerome Smith on those iconic KCSB hits - it's at the heart of their style/sound.), Lee Ritenour, Larry Carlton, Doobie Brothers, Steely Dan, Boz Scaggs, Toto, REO Speedwagon (The late Gary Richrath is IMO way underappreciated.) Chic (And almost anything produced/written/performed by Nile Rogers), Chet Atkins, Roy Clark, Glenn Cambell, Jose Feliciano, George Benson and many more.

My first PRS was (Still own it, never part with it) a 1991 Custom 24 Grey Black 10 Top. Wonderful guitar! I gigged it the greater part of the '90's and as a result it has some battle scars, but what a great guitar! I play Classic Rock, R&B, Top40, Standards and whatever is required on "Tuxedo" gigs. With PRS I can handle all this with ease.

Owned many PRS's along the way, traded in/out of various models.

My next "Number One" is a 25th Anniversary Narrowfield Sunburst. This more than the '91 CU24 truly satisfied the lust for the "quack" (Although CU24's get pretty close when split to the two inside coils). It also suffered battle wear, was sent to PRS for repairs and subsequently retired. If this were issued as a CE in Black Gold Burst I'd quickly get in line for one. Rosewood FB and Moon inlays would be totally acceptable on this.

Currently play an SE EG with Dimarzio Fast Track pickups (FT2 Bridge, FT1 Mid, Pro Track neck) that plays/sound great.

I also recently found a CE24 which is awesome with bolt neck vibe. Would love to see these with a middle "single" coil (Must be noiseless) and a 5-way selector. And for those who wonder, yeah a 24 fret HSH PRS! Make it happen either in a CE or an SE and I'm there! Also, make a Semi Hollowbody version of this.

Glad to be a PRS player and glad to be here to talk PRS! These guitars rock!

Welcome to the forum Mr. DanJ!!! You've got some great history and taste IMO (although I would personally kick Toto and REO off the list) ;~)) Be sure to share some pix here of your six string porn!! Also, if so inclined, post some of your work in the Studio & Stage forum so we can hear you shred those tone monsters!!!

Happy pickin'!

Thanks, Moondog. It will take me a few days to prep some photos and post but I'll comply ASAP.

The videos I have are humbly produced praise band videos from our church. These are "isolation" clips that we made during this last year when the church was temporarily closed due to COVID. I will find the ones that best show my guitars and playing and post links.
