Ding Ding! And another incoming NGD, yes it's a PRS!

I
Love CE22's! I have three and think they sound more lively than CU22's.

Congrats!

Those are probably Dragon 2 pickups if they're original.

Looks like someone replaced the rotary switch because my '02 CU22 did have the rotary switch.

No biggie. My '00 CE22 came without the original rotary switch and I left it that way.

Anyways, like Lazlo said: that is a classic and real beauty.

Looks like it's been played, which is a good thing in my book.
Agreed that it seems the rotary switch has been replaced, my 02 Ce22 still has the rotary switch in place.
But if it works as it is fine it will be left with the toggle in place.
In the listing seller stated Dragon II so I expect they are.
My 02 Ce22 has its original Dragon II and my 97 Custom 22 has its original Dragon pups.
I see no reason to ever change them.

Love that color scheme! It's about the same as on my '11 Stripped 58 that arrived in May off Reverb and was also a great value.

Hadn't thought about changing the tuner buttons on it but now thinking about it.

Congrats!
Reverb has the Ebony ones listed at $16 a set, you might find even cheaper elsewhere.
I finally ordered a set for my existing 02 Ce22...lol.

Talking of colour scheme, it's stated as two different colours in the listing.
Vintage Yellow and Santana Yellow.

I wonder which is correct?

Here's my Santana yellow Stripper for comparison. To be sure you can check the MODCAT code under the bridge pickup.

Definitely a close call by eye as looking at both Vintage Yellow and Santana Yellow guitars online it's really hard to tell.
I think the modcat will be the only way to know for sure.
Unless anyone knows what colour options were offered in 2001 on the Ce22....

Stripper 58 are awesome guitars! Love mine. Tuner buttons are one of those small things I'm a fan of that you can do to personalize the look. I used the bone buttons. Here's a couple pics..

Vintage yellow has a red back. As said above, check the modcat. There's the sticker under the pickup and on the case. I've even seen a sticker on the handbag or some case swag before.

Great score. I’ve always wanted a yellow PRS.

I have to say to me I think the best era of PRS is around 2000-2010 if you’re looking to buy used. But I base that on them not having winged tuners and no cheapened down CE models.

I can’t believe how cheap these era guitars sell for.

Interesting information about the Ce22 line I found.
Apparently you could choose either the 5 way rotary or a 3 way toggle switch.
So it’s entirely possible and likely that the toggle switch is original.
Also up to 2001 you could choose the wide thin neck and trem or stoptail.
Those two options were discontinued after 2001 model year.
So it should feel different to my 2002 Ce22 which must have a wide fat neck by default.
Going to be fun!

I didn't know the year stopped, but the configuration options are correct.

I've been on the hunt for a pretty specific ce22 for a while and its a bummer, I'll find one, but it's always short of something.

I've been chasing a ghost I should have bought several years back.

Care to share the specifics as I’m extremely curious now.
