Well its like this you see...um well.... I AM AN ADDICT!
There its out in the open, I am past redemption and should be banned from even looking online!
Just to prove there are still some very affordable Core guitars out there, I snagged this tonight on Reverb, hopefully it is as clean as it looks and if it plays anything like my 2002 CE22 I am going to be very happy.

Beauty! I saw that and was tempted myself. I think the ad said it has a Wide/Thin neck, which isn't too common on the CE22. Hope it's as good as you expect!
Wide thin yes according to the listing.
It's a 2001 and my 2002 CE22 has a 5 way rotary for pup selection so a little surprised to see a toggle on this being a year older.

I guess it's possible someone replaced the 5 way rotary over the years though.

That's an absolute classic. Sweet!

Gotta say the ebony tuner buttons really set it off, too.
Call it silly but that's what really caught my eye when I first saw the listing.
Guess we have good taste....lol.

But yes they just look "right" with the black headstock.
Something so simple and cheap ( -$20) can make a big visual impact like that.

In fact I have had a set in my Reverb cart for months for the 02 CE22... perhaps it's time to check out:cool:

They say the devil is in the details.

"Who are 'they'?"

"You know, the ones who say the devil is in the details."

"But you just said that yourself."

"Then I must be one of them."

Love CE22's! I have three and think they sound more lively than CU22's.

Congrats!

Those are probably Dragon 2 pickups if they're original.

Looks like someone replaced the rotary switch because my '02 CU22 did have the rotary switch.

No biggie. My '00 CE22 came without the original rotary switch and I left it that way.

Anyways, like Lazlo said: that is a classic and real beauty.

Looks like it's been played, which is a good thing in my book.
