Any members from Austin in here?

I'm going to Austin in about a week to visit my daughter and need a few tips on where to go and what to see. I know, I know, it's the hottest time of the year then and that will limit things, and my daughter is in her teens so that limits things too, but outside of seeing the bat's come out from under the bridge, the Lake, and downtown, is there any other things to check out?
..... outside of the guitar shops.

Any special places for eats that are not to be passed up?

haven’t lived there in a long time, but tx bbq is immortal so go to rudys or wherever is the flavor of the week. and 4th street is preferable to 6th street, downtown is cool (and had some understreet jazz clubs 15 yrs ago) but try and get out of town too if you can.

Considering I live on the coast where it stays in the 60's for most of the year, I'll have to go indoor, near the AC.
