My wife has recently been an alert when ever I bring in a new guitar home
I think she uses it as an excuse to buy new cookie cutters or something
not that I ever see any cookies......... but I digress
When my Buddy gave me the S2 recently I managed to get it into my office unseen
I set it and the gig bag in my chair as I dug out another Guitar stand
my wife entered my office just moments before I was home free
had something to share then noticed the empty stand
and asked "What's that for?"
UH-OH
I quietly pointed to the gig bag
"For that One"
I got the rolled eyes again
I was on edge
Then she got a funny look on her face
"You know with all of those guitars, you could bring another one in and I would never notice it"
My response with a straight face
"What do you think I was doing?"

The hospital stay was short
I may even be able to play the new guitar soon

Back when I had racks and racks of analog gear, a console, and tape machines, someone asked my wife if she got upset when I bought more gear.

She said, "He sneaked all that stuff in one cable at a time."

Which is 100% true. I'd wait for her to leave the house to bring gear in from my car.

"I've had it awhile," I prevaricated.

"What's awhile? Like 5 minutes or 5 hours?"
