I’ve a feeling that, if you like the regular 594s, you’ll also love the HB version. For me, the Hollowbody has turned out to be even better!

Couldn't agree more - and the Solid Body version is superb...

No neck dive here and mine weighs in at 5.6 lbs!

That was one of the things I hated about hollowbodies, and the 594 McCarty HB has none of it. Sits just right, body size isn't like trying to wrestle a life raft, and (as @Moondog Wily reported above) the lack of gravity pull is delightful.

I had a similar concern going in and it balances just fine on a strap.
