I’m no botanist, but that wood looks bloody to me so I would guess bloodwood?

There is more to the beginning to this video, that tells what species it is. I remember seeing it in one of those "Most Satisfying" videos from China that show up in my FB feed.

When they first cut it, it almost looks like padauk (a distant relative of rosewood). The curly grain that is shown at the end is pretty crazy though! I dunno that I've ever seen padauk that curly. I do have some sapele (an African mahogany) that's that curly

Looks like blood wood or padauk when cut but the end finished piece looks a lot like a bubinga slab I saw at a PRS wood supplier.
