It kinda was rude. Les.. I like your posts. You bring valuable info and insight to the forum members. But, lately, you've taken it upon yourself to be forum police and judge people on whether their posts are acceptable or unacceptable.
Fine, but I'd also like to mention that you bring a lot of negativity to the forum at times, like today with your complaint about the lack of certain colors in the US. If you stop doing your complaining over something so trivial, I'll stop doing my admonishment thing. In any case, I'm glad you like some of my posts, and I enjoy reading many of yours.
Its a lot of money to tie up in something like that for 8 months.
The simplest thing is to remind you that there is demand for the goods, and that hand craftsmanship on this order takes time.
It's not for everyone.
On the other hand, you could order a guitar today that's going to be here tomorrow, get hit by a bus crossing the street later the same day.
I recently ordered a PS and between the time I ordered it, and the time it came in, which was just a few months because it was one of the special runs, I had nerve damage and had to have surgery in order to be able to play guitar at all. In fact, I've only been out of the cast for a few weeks, and only recently got back to playing. The guitar had to sit for quite a while.
So, life has risks. But small risk, small reward. Bigger risk, bigger reward. That's how it works sometimes.
Risks aren't for everyone. If you don't want to accept the risks, don't place an order for something that takes time. Just don't complain about it.
I don't see for one second how saying that is rude. It's simply an obvious fact of life.
