If you're born in the USA or naturalized, you're a Merkin.

It comes from slang here in the US. It is usually said in a joking manner. If you are not in the US it may not make much sense at all.

ah, I did know the Merkin's and Nimrods have been at it even longer than the Hatfields and the McCoys. I thought the Nimrods were pretty hard core though. I'm surprised they even allow "potential Nimrods." Are these like "candidates" on Sons Of Anarchy?
