My favorite electric guitars are still my Bernie Marsdens. Two have 57/08 pickup sets and those are the ones that get played the most.
I just put new 57/08 pickups in my 2012 SC58.
Made quite an improvement, but it still doesn't hold a note and sustain like my favorite Bernie.
My favorite Bernie is the one to the left with the John Mann bridge. It's just SPECIAL. Notes bloom..
Now that I know how to do it, I think I'll do the brushed nickel treatment to the pickup covers of both of these guitars.
