Starla Bridge Replacement

Hi Guys,

I want to replace the tune-o-matic bridge on my Starla, it’s become faulty and needs to be replaced.

Seeing as the Starla came with a Grover tune-o-matic bridge, I want to see if I can replace this with an upgrade. Has anyone replaced the grover tune-o-matic bridge?

I did this along with locking tuners to help the Bigbsy stay in tune for me

Those nashville types are pretty sturdy, I have never seen one sink or break

Rider1260, so a standard tune-o-matic bridge will fit the mounting pegs on the Stala? I was thinking about getting a Schaller piezo bridge.

Considering this bridge or possibly the golden age roller bridge as well for radius reasons. Was it a direct fit?

I don’t mind the Tune-o-Matic but the saddles have worn out and I’ve lost sustain in my high strings.

Yes it did fit mine, the fit was tight so getting the height set the first time was fiddly ( height adjust was somewhat hard to turn )
To answer some of the other questions there are mods to make a Bigbsy work better as the bridge is meant to rock back and forth in this design.
I've seen well loved examples with worn saddles and ovaled stud holes.
