Hey Everyone,

Got a Silver Sky and the bridged is decked (factory setup). When I use the tremolo a bit, I noticed the G and B strings do not go back in tune - they go sharp actually.

Is this a problem with the bridge being decked? Do I need to make it a floating trem setup to use it?

Or could it be something else, likely the nut?

First - Yes The trem will get better with use ( just use it a bunch )

Second I highly recommend setting the bridge to float, both of mine are that way. really like the feel.

Mine was like that until I replaced the stock strings and added a touch of lubricant to the nut. I can abuse the trem now and it stays in tune perfectly. I wasn’t sure about it being decked before but I love it now.

Yes, strings going sharp usually indicate the string is binding in the nut. They will wear in, but in the mean time you can use some nut lube like Big Bends Nut Sauce, or even just rub a little pencil lead into the grooves on the offending nut slots. Should be good to go with minimal fuss.
