That's the real head-scratcher. With all of the others I can see something functional he was after. I can't imagine why he would do that to the headstock. Weight relief?

I'm wondering if he was going for the Core Santana headstock shape.

Haha, I did appreciate how the guitar looks normal in the first pic because the view is conveniently obscured above the neck pickup. Clicking through the pics I was like, "what's wrong with--Ohhhhh, that's bad."
