NMKD

way to pounce, man! does it have any spank? the nf53 demo seemed to be all about the spank whereas the mk was not so much spank

Congrats! Eagerly awaiting your full report. I'm curious to know more about the neck shape compared to the other PRS shapes. The more video demos I watch, the more I like this guitar.

Hey @bodia , I know you have some other PRS guitars...does the MK fit into the standard PRS multi-fit case? Or any other PRS case? Inquiring minds want to know! Well, at least one mind: mine...

EDIT: I thought I already commented, but I don't see it, so: Hey, nice MK! Great looking guitar, looking forward to see your long-term thoughts...

Well, the case are at the storage locker, and I’m way too lazy to run and grab one. Side by side with my Joe Walsh, I’d say the MK would fit in a SC594 case. The MK is a thick slab. Almost as thick as the JW.

OK, thanks for what you can comment on.

And aren't you just the perfect example of someone who apparently doesn't need a hardcase for every guitar, lol...

Nice! I’m glad they took the PRS approach to building it like a PRS, instead of making it just like a Fender. I got to play one for a half hour, so now I’m on the hunt! Congrats on yours..and I hope you love it and keep it, and play it a lot!!

Yup, Sweetwater had about 12 Myles Kennedy models in stock. I was trying to make up my mind on which color to get, and by the time I decided, all they had left were 4 of the Tri-Color Sunburst. Guess my mind was made up for me! I picked the heaviest one, 8 lbs 9 ozs. It definitely feels all of that! The thing that surprised me was how thick it is. It is 1/8 of an inch slimmer that my SC594 Joe Walsh Ltd. I haven't had a Tele, nor played one, in more than 25 years, so I can't compare it to a Tele. Neck is chunky, but I'm ok with it. Love that PRS maple neck feel! I grabbed the MK because, IMO, it's more of a rock machine, but can still go to that other place. More my speed, I suppose. It sure sounds, and feels great. I think they did a terrific job with this model. I dig the hollow birds on a maple neck. As far as I can tell, it is a one piece body. Pics to prove it. And, again, it goes to show that angles matter (looks washed out and plain in the first pic, but that's certainly not the case). Anyone on the fence, just grab one.
