NGD: PRS Brent Mason

Excellent demo of an excellent-looking and sounding Brent Mason model. I love the maple on white with birds - that would be my first choice. The single coils sound more single-coiley on the BM than they do on my 408s, which means I will probably have to put this model BACK on my radar (like it was ever really off).

Yeah it can be a bit awkward, although it's the term arm that actually gets in the way. I think after a while my "visual memory" will get used to me going to exactly the right place. I suppose it would be possible to get a new plate moved and swap around the blade switch with the coil tap switches....

Another option of course is to remove the coil tap switches and move the 5 way over, and use push/pull pots instead...

My plan is to get a new pick guard cut, but it will require some routing underneath to make room for the switch.
Going to try and move it to a traditional Strat placement.
