My guitar hero... He will be missed

    RIP EVH.

    What does this have to do with PRS Electric Instruments Forum? Everything... He's the reason I picked up the guitar and the reason why I own so many (100+). Many are PRS... God Speed.

    Massive technical skill and the theoretical foundation to back it up. I'm not super into Van Halen, though I admit that I came of age during their heyday. But I have a friend who is a great metal (and classical) guitarist who studied EVH and Randy Rhodes. Those dudes were classically trained and what they were doing in real time was not only incredibly difficult, but built on deep knowledge.
