I used to think that I had the Strat of my dreams, untill the SS came out. Now I have 2 SS's (maple & rosewood) and no Strat's.
I have the same thoughts about my 57 reissue Tele, but I think PRS could make me rethink that if they came out with a Tele of their own

Hey, I like my PRS headstocks, all 5 of them (and counting) . Its just that we come to expect some things, and for me, it in-line tuners on a S or T type

A Les Paul with in-line tuners , would look "goofy" IMVHO ...

Beat me to it, but I don’t believe Paul would ever make a headless guitar. He believes the head stock design, angle, wood thickness, tuners, etc. make tonal differences. What happens above the nut, matters (TWSS) and THAT is his line in the sand. IMO.
