How were the Dragon II p'ups positioned on the 2000 Custom 22?

I'm re-installing the original Dragon II p'ups in my new/old 2000 custom 22.

All of the images I've seen show the pole piece oriented near to the neck (bass) and then opposite, near to the bridge (treble). Is this correct?

It's important because I'm also re-installing the original 5-way rotary switch so, I want to have them oriented properly.

Yep, that is standard on almost all covered pups. It doesn't make a huge difference, but is the historically correct orientation (unless you have the Peter Green/Gary Moore les Paul).
