It happens. I was at a comedy show tonight, and the comedian told a joke that was pretty subtle. I was howling, and he kind of looked over at me, and I realized I was the only who’d gotten it at that point. It slowly sank in with the rest of the crowd, but I’d seen it right away. I love when that happens.
