Help! pick guard swap goes wrong - lose wire?

So I was swapping the pickguard on my new PRS Mira SE (tortoise to black) and I was afraid of breaking anything...
Anyways my fears were realized when I noticed a loose black wire after swapping the tone pots and switches over. (I must have accidentally yanked it or something)

Anyways I have absolutely no idea where it's supposed to go!

Does it connect to the Jack? (there's already a grey one connected to it...)
Does it connect to the 3 way switch? Or tone pot?
Anyone have a picture of theirs?

Also I have a little metal ring that came lose and don't know where it goes either!

New member here, any help appreciated. Thanks for looking

A picture of yours will help. Black is usually a ground wire.

I planned to upload a pic but seems I can't do that directly without external link...
Its a very long black wire, about the same length as the grey one also extending from the same volume pot to the jack input.
Does it make sense to have 2 wires going to the jack?
I should add i know nothing about wiring if you haven't guessed already!

Yes, one wire is to the jack hot and the other to ground.
