Didn't expect to see a release with the Alembic!
Sounds like John is having some models modified for his side gig.I thought the point of a Silver Sky was that they were all like John’s guitar.

Didn't know he wasn't doing that any more. You can tell how closely I follow him...Well, his former side gig.

Dead and Co. Modified Silver Sky
Just happened to put a Dead and Company live concert from 2023 on YouTube and as I was watching a solo by John Mayer I noticed some modifications to his Silver Sky. Not sure if anyone on the Forum brought this up yet.... hope this is not a repeat thread. Anyway, I found a video of a gentleman...forums.prsguitars.com
ah, see, I've never been a Dead fan either, so, other than some of his gear, (and maybe a couple of his old girlfriends ) I don't really follow him at all.Dead & Co. hung it up at the end of this past tour. I don't follow Mayer either, but I am acutely aware of most things that happen in the Grateful Dead Universe.
Er, yes......... old news, surely
This is new news, no?
And anyway, I've ordered mine

I felt the same. Limited release goes against the silver sky philosophy. A few people will snatch these up and then some will turn up for resale for a lot more money. Limited release means guitars for the quick or the rich! I still love my silver sky though.I thought the point of a Silver Sky was that they were all like John’s guitar.
As seen on TV....but WAIT!!!! There's MORE!!!! lol.I thought the point of a Silver Sky was that they were all like John’s guitar.
