Last week my pots and pickup selector sounded a tad scratchy on my reclaimed so i cracked it open and sprayed some deoxit. Took care of the issue. But i Figure while I was in I toss a different humbucker for the bridge. Went with Fralin Modern PAF. Lot more output. Actually too much. I had a hard time getting it to balance right with the neck pickup. But tone wise was pretty cool. Originally it was out of phase so I had to correct that (fyi for anybody wiring a Fralin treble in this model). The Experiment is over tho. Went back in and put the original Starla pickup. Perfect balance. It really was for my own curiosity. Maybe down the road I’ll try a PaF bridge like 58/15 LT (like the private stocks get) or Fralin pure PAF. I enjoy experimenting. Takes less than 10 mins to do!
