Hello all,
I just bought my daughter Maria her first real guitar for Christmas. Unfortunately, it's not a PRS. I got her a Torino Red Squier Mini Strat.
For what it is, it's a decent little guitar. It should be fine for her to try out and maybe learn a little bit. I realize this is a non-PRS product, but stay with me here.
I would ABSOLUTELY buy her a 3/4 scale PRS if one were available. I realize the Squier's $99 price tag would be hard to match. But I think a 3/4 scale PRS SE might be doable for a street price of around $250. I realize that Bird inlays probably wouldn't work at that price range. But I think either translucent finishes or solid colors on a non-carved top, all-mahogany body might work. I'd also be totally fine with just a single pickup. Am I totally wrong about this? Would any of you consider a 3/4 scale PRS? Surely I'm not the only one!
