Cousin Eddie's cousin
I sure will, if that ever happens!
Meantime, yeah, the current reissues have gotten very good!
If it happens I might reneg.

OK...........You made me look.
The thought of buying a new car sends me into a panic, I’m just not a car guy. In fact, my dream car is whatever the chauffeur is driving.
That guitar on the other hand.... if I had about $456,000 in the bank, I’d buy it so fast it’d make your head spin. Which is exactly why I’m not better off financially .
Some of these guitars I might say are supernaturally good, especially when played acoustically. I’m just amazed how a metal string can sound like that!(and I agree, the current reissues are really good).

The full GP link lists a letter from a Bill so I think that’s a good guess (though I don’t pretend to know the backstory nor Bill Holter).
Killer!! As close as you can get to the original bursts! Or dare I whisper....better....maybeI acquired 3 last year when the BRW fretboard window opened briefly. Black as ebony, too.
I dunno....
One purchase gets you a lifetime Bangin’ award on the Forum
The other gets you an immediate depreciation of 20% out the door
Seems like simple math to me
I think the letter is from a "Ben", not Bill...
Well, I did just get a new prescription from my eye doctor yesterday - guess I need a face palm emoji!I think the letter is from a "Ben", not Bill...
Two goals in life...someday play a real 59 les paul, and play a pre factory prs.
That pic must be before the snowblower incident? The shoes look too new. Especially before he spills his ‘unsweetened iced tea’ on them.
Interesting! Any difference between the 59’s and the current reissues acoustically? The acoustic tone is what I really care about.
When it comes down to it, this stuff defies rational explanation. These are emotional choices, not choices where there’s a right or a wrong.
Beautiful guitar, though, and a nice piece of history.
