10's on a DGT?

One of my fingers fell off completely while playing my DGT, but I'm stubbornly sticking to the .011s until another one goes.

Don't worry, I was able to clean the blood and stuff off the guitar when the finger fell off, but I did stain the rug, and had to have my suit cleaned.
That's OK about the rug ... everyone here would rather have the guitar.

Sooo...questions about whether these strings are the same as the PRS DGT set.

On the PRS DGT set the "G" string is 18p, meaning the string is an unwound string. On this set the box indicates 18, which usually but not always means it's a wound string on medium sets. Are these wound or unwound?

Also, the XS are a coated string, and I usually like D'Addario's coating, Are the PRS strings coated as well? It doesn't say whether they are on the packaging.

In other words, are these the same as the PRS strings, or something a bit different?

The PRS are the uncoated .. like the the plain XL ,D'addario 11-49's come with a plain 18 , there is a version with a wound 3rd and it's

labled as such but it's a 21w

I’ve been using 10’s on mine since I scored it.

The 10’s are perfect for me and I have no intention of changing.

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it !

and for the purist

I use pure nickel strings on all my guitars but the DGT (so far); I've been using Sono-Tone's pure nickels because they're a bit brighter than the D'Addario pure nickels.

But both brands feel good under the fingers (to me, anyway).

One thing about the DGT is that I like the bright tone with the PRS strings, so I figure I should stick with plated strings on that guitar; but I'll try the XS coated version because why not?

PRS sells 2 sets the DGT's have a plain 18 the purple set has a wound 20 G for both classic and signature

There;s another option I've used on my personal instruments , they are steep due to the gold plating , they used to be called Maxima , no Optima . Great tone and durability .. plain 18
