Worst Namr for a band

It certainly is tough to come up with a decent band name these days. "The Beatles" is already taken...
Back in the early '90's, I was in a country band called David Statzer and Latigo--it was about the time that Garth Brooks had that song "Rodeo" with the line about "spurs and latigo", and as long as that song was getting airplay, most people were aware that "latigo" had something to do with rodeo (actually, it's the cinch on a bucking saddle, or the leather that the cinch is made of.) After the song fell off the charts, the term was forgotten, and we had quite a few people see the name on a marquee and think we were a Latino band--we got so much of that, that we wound up changing our name to The David Statzer Band. We just couldn't come up with anything else that we all agreed on. Although I wanted to call the band "Dagnabbit!"...

When I was growing up there was a band here called ....Just a bunch of f...in a..holes

Kinda stuck with me lol

I wanted to call my old band Monthly Problems.

And there's another metal band I've wanted to post here, but both words would have to be blacked out. I will say this - I pointed out one of their CDs to my buddy, and he immediately took a picture of it to show his girlfriend.

In the '70's, I always thought that the worst band name of all time had to be "The Dead Kennedy's" :iamconfused: ...still holds true 35+ years later.

"Pink Floyd" had kinda grown on me, however.

in general, the 80's were stupid and awful ...

I haven't played in a "band" in about 20+ years, but when sitting around with my fellow band mates discussing names for our group back then, I threw out one that was quickly shot down.
I thought it was catchy and would be remembered easily, but they all hated it
Zippy Boll Weevil and the Neon Squirrels.... I still think it's cool

Boy was my 80's experience different than yours!

Amen to that. By 92 my life had mostly settled down, but in the 80's I was ALIVE!

I've been in Havok or Havick in high school.

As a grown-up (or gr'up), I was in Whistle Pig, Mercury 7, and The Blue Collar Collective - we dominated. Perhaps you've never heard of us.
