Why would an SE Hollowbody Standard have a serial number of CTCF?

CTCF is a 2022 Production model number. However, there are SE Hollowbody Standards with these serials on Sweetwater, and this particular model was introduced as part of the 2023 line.

Would these be considered 2022 guitars?

A serial number is just a serial number. When a model is introduce or announced, if it’s available at the time of introduction it has to have been produced earlier. There’s a recent thread here about a production date being 8 months before an inspection date. The production having happened overseas and the inspection presumably in Maryland.

I’d say that what you’re asking about is pretty normal.

CT is not part of the serial number, CF are the first two digits. CTCF would be an acoustic (China)

The se hollowbodies are made in China and use the same serial.
