Who inks the PRS serial numbers and writes on headstocks?

Something I've always wondered:

For PRS Core models, the serial numbers are handwritten in gold pen on the back of the headstock. Other info is written neatly too, like Private Stock, or USA Only, etc.

It has always looked like the same neat handwriting that does that, for all these years. Is it one person, and if so, who is it?

I don't know the answer to your question, but I did inherit very neat printing skills from my Dad. If they ever need someone to take over that job, I would gladly put in my resume. I would accept payment in guitars and crab cakes!

Because the handwriting is so similar over the years and over each guitar, I always assumed it was stamped on. No?

After 4 years of turning in my “lettering” each week, one block per day, as part of my grade, my architects handwriting was pretty set. But after I graduated, it took years for me to write neatly in lower case again.

My mole deep inside the PRS organization has told me:

"Different people have held that position over the years. We try to use the same draftsman style writing though."

Now we know!
