What makes PRS a 5000$ guitar?

Fwiw I have yet to buy a new PRS. There are some amazing deals on used guitars if you’re patient. I did pay over $4k for a wood library 594 with a rosewood neck. I think the rest have been $3k or lower.

Which reminds me, I think I’ve missed posting a few NGD’s. May have to just take a current family photo and post it. Haha.

I've come to the realization that if I ever want an ME-V it will defo be used. And even then it's really pushing the $$$ envelope for me. If I was 30-40 years younger it would be different. Of course then they wouldn't exist yet either so...🙄

So I have appreciation for the MEV…
At first it was overwhelming and I found my Studio sounding more pleasing cause the pickups weren’t as hot. But the MEV tone control is super reactive and the splits can be very beefy sounding as well.
Now I love playing neck, neck split, double humbucker, bridge split, double humbucker with bridge spli, and double humbucker with both split. They all sound amazing depending on what I’m playing. The middle single coil is an acquired taste!

I love both of these.

One cost five times the amount that the other did. The Santana just has subtleties about it, but both are a joy to play -

I think I know exactly how you feel. One does not detract from the other. On the contrary they somehow reinforce the other!
