Swamp Ash Special color help

Hi,

I've just scored an used SAS from 97 on evilBay yesterday. The seller does not have lots of informations about the guitar and the picture are not so great. Anyone know what official PRS color is this guitar?

Interesting. It looks like purple, which I've never seen on a SAS. I like it! Nice price too! You can find out the actual color from the modcat #. Might be on a sticker on the end of the case, if not, it's under one of the pickups.

I don't recall ever seeing a purple one, an can't find any pics on Google. Take the bridge pickup out when it arrives and see what's written in the cavity.

Interesting. It looks like transparent purple?

I had a tremolo equipped SAS back around 1999-2000 that was opaque metallic purple. Came from Washington Music Center.

There was a PRS color called Raspberry, but I'm not sure of the year it was introduced. Looked a lot like that color.

I had one in Raspberry. Much more red...

The entire NAMM booth in 1999 was raspberry. They were all numbered. I had the Santana from that show for a while.
