SE Santana

Hi all... So I tried an SE Santana at Sam Ash (serial number starting with n, meaning made in 2013) and it had a relatively think neck. I find this odd since it says on the PRS site that it has a wide fat neck (and similar to the Santana signature real deal) and yet I picked up an Se245 and that neck was much beefier, yet the website says it also has a wide fat neck. Are there different wide fat necks or am I missing something here.

I was going to buy this guitar online as I don't like the color of the one at Sam Ash.

I haven't tried those two models, but the wide-fat neck on my older SE santana from 2003 is identical to the wide-fat on my 2005 USA Custom 22.

You know I have a 2012 SE Santana which was my introduction to PRS back then, and its wide/fat neck feels much better and thinner to me than the wide/fat on my 2013 SE Zach Myers.
I prefer thin necks, probably why I still enjoy playing the Santana.

Thanks guys. The one I tried is a 2013, so maybe the older models are thinner

There should be no difference between my 2012 and your 2013.
The only changes PRS made was a new color choice, the green.
