I just took some neck measurements of my 2018 S2 Standard 22, the one I play the most, and I measured .867" for the depth at the nut. PRS spec for the Pattern Regular neck says it should be 27/32 or about .844". This seems like it would be an awfully big tolerance, but it's also my favorite of the three S2 guitars I have with this neck profile, which might explain why lol.

The necks are finish-sanded by hand. That’s where the differences come from.:)
The CNC machine only gets them so far (or close:p:D).

I know this, as it's the same for a lot of guitar makers. The usual tolerances I see advertised are +-.015 or +-.020.

What is the PRS tolerance supposed to be?
